Oral cancer develops in any part of mouth it includes cancer of lips, tongue, cheeks, mouth flour, soft and hard palates, sinuses, throat etc. And mouth cancer is the type of oral cancer.







Causes of oral cancer:
  • excessive alcohol consumption
  • HIV infection
  • Smoking
  • Tabacco usage
  • previous medical history of oral cancer
Symptoms of oral cancer:
  • Swelling in the inward covering of the oral cavity(mouth)
  • Determined bruises that don't heal.
  • Patches (Red or white hued), for the most part of the mouth.
  • Loose teeth and dentures
  • Agonizing tongue with ulcers
  • pain in the neck or ear that does not go away
  • Trouble in chewing or gulping
  • loose teeth with no apparent reason
  • jaw pain or stiffness
  • hoarse voice
Risk factors that affects oral cancer:
  • red meat or processed meat
  • HPV(Human papilloma virus) infection
  • prior radio therapy
  • regularly chewing of betel nuts
  • exposure to certain chemicals
  • Ultraviolet exposure on the lips, from the sun, sunlamps, or sunbeds
Precautions:
  • quitting or avoiding tobacco
  • consuming alcohol in moderation or not at all
  • avoid excessive sun exposure and using sunscreen on the lips
  • avoiding junk foods, saturated fats, and processed meats
On the correct time or first stage of oral cancer, patient of oral cancer has an 83 percent chances of surviving for longer then 5 years. The best oral cancer treatment can save your life.
